GENERATING RESOURCES FOR PROGRAMS THAT TRANSFORM THE SOCIAL REALITY OF BRAZIL

Dear Friends,

It is with pride and enthusiasm that we share this newsletter with you, which tells of the many achievements of the Foundation and of our grantees. We are happy to announce that 26 organizations will receive grants this year thanks to the funds raised at the BrazilFoundation X Annual Gala, held in New York, and the II BrazilFoundation Gala Miami. We would like to take this opportunity to thank our partners, supporters and volunteers for making these events possible.

We also have exciting news to share about our Annual Project Selection: a fund has been created to support early childhood projects and five organizations in this area will receive support this year.

This is the first year that an Excellence Prize will be awarded to five exemplary organizations previously supported by BrazilFoundation. The prize was designed by the Foundation as a way to recognize the scarcity of support for institutional development, and at the same time, to strengthen the technical and organizational capacity of civil society organizations.

BrazilFoundation continues to improve its programmatic activities. We are proud to walk hand-in-hand with our partners—our donors and grantees—toward positive and concrete changes in Brazil.

Finally, please mark your calendars: our Festa Junina will take place June 2 in New York and our XI Gala will be held at the MoMA on September 18. We hope to see all of you at both events!

Enjoy!

Patricia Lobaccaro     &      Susane Worcman
President and CEO              Vice President
