In April, Leonardo Letelier spoke about the work of ‘sitawi – Finance for Good’ to an audience of 25 people gathered at the home of BrazilFoundation CEO Patricia Lobaccaro. sitawi is a social fund that offers credit to the nonprofit sector in Brazil.

Since 2009, it has granted loans totaling $ 1 million, which was distributed between to ten organizations. In just over an hour Leonardo Letelier gave a finance class for the nonprofit sector.

sitawi won beyondBanking IDB for socially responsible investments in 2011.Before establishing the company, Leonardo, who has graduated in Industrial Engineering from USP and earned an MBA from Harvard Business School, worked for McKinsey for 8 years. He was in New York briefly, before attending the conference Impact on State, held by Secretary of State Hillary Clinton in Washington DC.
