Wagner Gomes, President of Adel, the Local Economic Development Agency, a BrazilFoundation grantee organization in 2008 and 2009, was selected as an Ashoka Fellow, title of great merit for social entrepreneurs who create innovative solutions and deliver extraordinary solutions to social problems worldwide.
ADEL operates in communities and territories within the State of Ceará to promote economic development through technical assistance, micro-credit, training in project and small business management, creating employment opportunities and generating income.
