The François Xavier Bagnoud do Brasil Association promotes health, education, and human rights for children, teenagers, and their family members who are HIV positive or have AIDS. The services provided include psychosocial assistance, nutrition assistance, and job training. The support of BrazilFoundation made it possible to train 40 families that are infected with HIV to make textiles. This is a way to generate income for these families, and to reduce the social and economic impact caused by AIDS. Some of them have become experts and have received artisan credentials.
