CUFA Humanitarian Campaign for the Reconstruction of Rio Grande do Sul

Rio Grande do Sul needs you
On April 30, 2024, heavy rains hit the state of Rio Grande do Sul and affected over 20 thousand people.
In response to this situation, CUFA is leading a solidarity mobilization to assist the flood victims, focusing efforts on collecting food, hygiene products, medicines, and water.

What is being done?
CUFA has already set up 13 distribution centers in the state of Rio Grande do Sul and is seeking resources to assist people in an emergency manner.
According to Preto Zezé, president of CUFA, the first phase is to rescue and provide shelter for people who have lost their homes and are without food and water.
The second phase will occur when the water returns to its normal level, at which point financial and material losses will be assessed.
In the third phase, the goal is restructuring: rebuilding the cities and ensuring that the displaced regain housing.
