On February 8th, 2011, Adel, a BrazilFoundation grantee in 2008 and 2009, won the Ozires Silva Award for Sustainable Entrepreneurship, in Cutitiba (PR). In its fourth year, the Award, which is sponsored by Fundacao Getulio Vargas (FGV) and Rede Paranaense de Comunicação (RPC), seeks to identify initiatives that deal with sustainable environmental and social issues.
Based in the town of Pentecoste, Ceará, ADEL is a nonprofit organization that works towards the economic and social development of rural communities of Ceará, through the formation of cooperative networks, the production of knowledge and technical support that seeks to change the course of development of semi-arid state of Ceará.
