Edisvânio Nair, the founder, executive director and broadcaster of the Santa Luz FM Community Radio Station, a BrazilFoundation grantee in 2007 and 2011, was elected “Radio Broadcaster Highlight of the Year” for the third time by a popular vote poll sponsored by the Store Owners Association of Santa Luz, Bahia. During his acceptance speech, Edisvânio highlighted that this recognition reflects the radio’s station service to the community. He also took the opportunity to share with the audience that the Radio Station was selected by BrazilFoundation for support in 2011 as part of the Project BrazilFoundation 10 Years.
