BrazilFoundation’s XII Annual Project Selection has been completed, and after 6 months of careful review and analysis, we are happy to announce that 26 projects will receive grants in 2013. The funds for these projects were raised at the X Annual Gala held in New York in September of last year and at the II Gala Miami that took place recently in March.
The Foundation received 548 proposals from all over Brazil; our analysts selected 40 finalists for site visits during the months of March and April. All in all, our analysts traveled to 34 cities in 16 states for the final evaluation of the candidates and their project proposals.
For the first time, BrazilFoundation will support projects addressing early childhood development. Each of the five projects selected in this area will receive R$ 80,000 over two years, with the possibility of extending the grant for another two years. Projects addressing education, culture, health, socioeconomic development and human rights will each receive a grant of R$ 40,000 for one year. Click here to see the awardees
