BrazilFoundation and Brazil Child Health, the American office for the NGO Saúde Criança, held the III Festa Junina: Children Helping Children on June 3rd at the Metropolitan Pavilion in New York.
The organizations joined forces once again to raise funds for social projects in health and early childhood education in Brazil. The party highlights included a capoeira presentation by Nago academy; DJ Gaspar Muniz, son of artist Vik Muniz, shook up the party; a live show by forró quartet Nanny Assis brought everyone to the dancefloor. The guests included model Schynaider Moura Garnero, Simone Hanke, Carime Lobo, Lilian Queiroz, Thalita de Oliveira, Fernanda Liz, Vanessa Greca, Mariana Zois, Tatiana Abraços, as well as Bela Gil and Christiana Cavalcante. The Host Committee included Mirella Affonso, Mariana Bechara, Mariana Cruso, Renata Garcia, Jussara Korngold, Alessandra Berriel, Maria Fernanda Lacerda, Chris O’Sullivan, Fabiana Sabaand Mariana Wolmer Santana and Ricardo Sirigatti.
Sponsored by Brazil Ahead and Nautica, the event was attended by 700 guests who enjoyed, along with the shows, traditional dances, typical Festa Junina food, and an auction with items from Schutz, Melissa, Havaianas, Nautica and Mary Esses.
