BrazilFoundation announces Tiffany Kearney as its new President and CEO. Her appointment marks a new chapter for the foundation, which aims to expand its global reach, strengthen partnerships, and increase philanthropic investment in Brazil.
With experience in global organizations focused on public health and the rights of marginalized and socially and economically vulnerable populations, Tiffany is a specialist in institutional development, communications, program expansion, strategic planning, partnership building, and government relations. She is also recognized for her consistent work with low-income communities across Latin America and the United States.
“As I lead BrazilFoundation into this new chapter, I am committed to honoring the legacy built so far and to paving new paths for the future of our philanthropic work. I intend to strengthen our organizational sustainability, deepen relationships with our donors, and explore new fundraising opportunities focused on long-term philanthropic investment, while also expanding our global reach — all so we can increasingly support transformative initiatives that promote a more just Brazil.”
After six years leading the foundation, Rebecca Tavares has decided to retire and will remain as Senior Advisor through September 30. We are deeply grateful to Rebecca for her outstanding work, which led to a tripling of the foundation’s revenue and solidified its prominent role in Brazilian philanthropy.

“I am honored to take on the leadership of BrazilFoundation in the very year that marks a quarter-century of social impact in Brazil, following the successful presidency of Rebecca Tavares — to whom we are deeply grateful for developing a business model that significantly enhanced fundraising and helped establish BrazilFoundation as a global reference in the social sector.” – Tiffany Kearney
