A small gathering organized on September 14th by the Consul General of Brazil in New York, Mr. Luiz Felipe de Seixas Corrêa, launched the celebrations of the big event of the year BrazilFoundation: the Gala in New York, which will take place next Wednesday, November 19th, at the American Museum of Natural History. There were plenty of reasons to celebrate: the tenth edition of the Gala is sold out for dinner – only tickets for the after-party are still available.
The celebration gathered about 30 people, including BrazilFoundation board members and sponsors, such as Mr. Gabriel Hammond. Only 33 years of age, he is the name behind Alerian, a consultancy that provides data and analysis for investment banks and consultants. His interests in strengthening relations with Brazil and encouraging projects in education are the main reasons why Mr. Hammond has decided to support the event.
