Why Support
Empower Black Entrepreneurs, Unlock New Futures: Support Economic Equality
Fuel Culture and Creativity: Support Black Innovation
In Brazil, 56% of the population is black. Still, this majority faces profound inequality: black people earn, on average, 45% less than white people and represent more than 75% of the poorest 10% of the country. Only 3% of leadership positions in large companies are held by black people, which highlights the economic and social barriers imposed by the racism that structures Brazilian society. It is in this context that Feira Preta’s mission becomes essential: to strengthen the black community through the technical, creative, and self-confidence training of entrepreneurs and agents of the black creative economy, valuing the identity, knowledge, and inventiveness of this population.
Our initiatives rebuild imaginaries and create new futures, where black people access tools, markets, and resources necessary to prosper and transform their realities. We believe the creative economy is a powerful solution to address historical exclusions and open up new economic, cultural, and social opportunities.
