Where are Bruno Pereira and Dom Philips?

 
We reinforce the request for urgent response to the disappearance of indigenist Bruno Pereira and British journalist Dom Phillips for more than a week in the region of Vale do Javari, in the Amazon.

Bruno is an indigenist and environmental leader, expert in isolated Indigenous peoples. Dom, who has lived in Brazil for the last15 years, is a veteran international coverage journalist – both denunciate attacks on indigenous people in the Brazilian Amazon.

Brazil is among the countries that, historically, threatens the rights of activists and human rights defenders the most. Confronting violence against the environment and the rights of traditional populations deserves our continued attention and action.
