Grupo de Apoio a Solidariedade

The Solidarity Support Group (GAS) in Belém will execute the project “My Rights: Sexual and Reproductive Health and its Intersectionality with Democratic Access to Health,” supported by the BrazilFoundation Gender Equity Fund, with a projected reach of 1,000 women and girls participating in educational workshops. The initiative aims to strengthen the rights of women and girls in the health sector through actions addressing menstrual poverty, prevention of STIs/HIV/AIDS, breast cancer, and cervical cancer. The project will also cover topics such as female vulnerability, sexual and reproductive health, pregnancy, maternity, and their possible implications. Since 2010, GAS has been working in defense of human rights, with its main goal being to ensure a better quality of life for the excluded society. Additionally, GAS aims to promote, train, and qualify the community, encouraging volunteer programs, recovery, environmental defense, and conservation through actions that promote interactive, economically sustainable, socially just, and environmentally balanced development.
