Plantando Sonhos, Colhendo realidades
The Associação Comunitária dos Moradores da Caponga da Bernarda works together with public authorities to implement the Eradication of Child Labor Program (PETI) in the municipality of Aquiraz, Ceará. The Association was recognized as a Child-friendly entity by the City Department of Social Welfare. With the support of BrazilFoundation, 30 children were removed from working in the sugar cane fields to regularly attend school, tutoring classes and other after-school activities.
