Casa Pequeno Davi

Cultural education utilizing experiences and theater as a means of overcoming violence and building one’s own sense of citizenship

Founded in 1985, Casa Pequeno Davi works to proliferate the spread of human rights with a particular focus on vulnerable children. An objective that is achieved through the continued commitment to education, communal and institutional articulation and to political intervention in the state of Paraíba. Over 10,000 children and teenagers have been cared for by Casa Pequeno Davi.
Casa Pequeno Davi aims to empower young people through education, cultural and professional experiences.

The support of BrazilFoundation will allow Casa Pequeno Davi to:


● Organize in person and virtual workshops for 40 teens that educate on the responsibilities of citizenship concerning cultural peace, self-identity, self-esteem, racism, bullying and sexual assult
● Coordinate technical theater workshops focused on audiovisual communication for 25 teenagers
● Take part in communal actions that seek to strengthen the community’s bond to the rights of the young generation
The workshops will be held both person and virtual in accordance to the health protocols imposed by the WHO and local health organizations
