Jovens e Bambu
Pangea Center was founded in 1996 and offers integrated and sustainable solutions to social, economic, and environmental problems in communities across Brazil. The project Jovens e Bambu, supported by BrazilFoundation, trained young people to use bamboo to produce domestic utensils and decorative objects. The students attended classes on corporate values, product design, and sales strategy. They formed a cooperative and acquired the skills necessary to enter the labor market.
