Projects We Love – #TEAMRIO
The Instituto de Arte Tear has been working since 1980 offering art and education activities to children and teenagers at risk in Tijuca area, one of the city’s neighborhoods with the highest incidence of urban violence. It has a role in mobilizing community to ensure the Rights of Children and Adolescents, in particular the right to culture and education.
In 2005, the Institute was recognized as a Culture Reference by the Ministry of Culture. The project offered integrated arts workshops with a focus on literature, reading, writing and storytelling, benefiting children and adolescents. Up to date the project reached more than 500 children.
