Less than a month before the first BrazilFoundation Gala MIAMI, which will take place on March 27, at the W South Beach Hotel & Residences, we are pleased to confirm new details that will enhance the already sold-out event. Lorenzo Martone, who was confirmed as Master of Ceremonies, will join forces with the Brazilian supermodel Isabeli Fontana.

The first Gala held outside of New York, where the organization is based and where the X BrazilFoundation Gala will take place in September 2012, will honor Norberto Odebrecht for his work ahead of the Odebrecht Foundation, and the artist Romero Britto, for his talent and work in public service. Brazilian Indy Racing driver Helio Castroneves is heading up preparations for the event as Chair alongside Co‐Chairs Daniela Fonseca and Maria Carolina Tavares de Melo, and the Honorary Chair, the Ambassador and General Consul Helio Vitor Ramos Filho. “Philanthropy is not very common among Brazilians. Once I got to know BrazilFoundation, I decided to start helping, and I will do everything possible to cooperate with this social cause and give back to Brazil. It’s very good to help,” Castroneves said.

Caca de Souza, PR for the designer Valentino and owner of a powerful mailing list, will repeat the partnership of the last Gala that took place in New York, and will take care of the guest list for the event. DJs and sons of Caca, Sean and Anthony Souza, who are confirmed for the After Parties on Madonna’s tour, will heat up the dancing after dinner.

Singer Preta Gil, daughter of Gilberto Gil, one of the most important Brazilian songwriters, will perform on stage.
