Program from the Associação Ateliê de Ideias certified as Social Technology by the Banco do Brasil Foundation

Ecos do Bem, a program from the Associação Ateliê de Ideias, a 2006 BrazilFoundation grantee, was awarded the Social Technology certification by Banco do Brasil Foundation (BDBF). The certification recognizes programs that bring effective solutions for social transformation and are developed with the community.

Ecos do Bem is also a finalist for the Banco do Brasil Foundation Award, which seeks to identify, select, certify, promote and foster technologies that offer effective responses to social needs in Brazil.  The Program is among 27 finalists from 1116 applicants. The results will be released in late November and the list of finalists can be viewed at the Banco do the Banco do Brasil Foundation website.

Associação Ateliê de Ideias is located in Vitoria, in the state of Espirito Santo. Through the program Ecos do Bem, the organization develops action plans to deal with litter, including environmental education campaigns, training of community leaders, urban interventions for cleaning landfills, and public awareness campaigns regarding  selective garbage collection and waste reduction policy.
