Caprinovinocultura: Estruturação e Difusão da cadeia Produtiva
Two young agronomists from the state of Ceará introduced to a community the concept and benefits of Supply Chain Management. The two had previously been students of the Instituto Coração de Estudante (Student’s Heart Institute), a BrazilFoundation grantee in 2003, 2005, 2010 and 2011. Adel’s project trained local goat and sheepherders in modern production techniques, rural management and cooperative business and association management.In addition, they built a mini feedlot to increase productivity.
In 2010, one of its founders, Francisco Wagner Gomes, was honored with the Prêmio Empreendedor Social de Futuro (Future Social Entrepreneur Award), given by the newspaper Folha de Sao Paulo, in recognition of the organization’s work.
