Centro de Apoio Profissional, Acompanhamento e Inclusão no Mercado de Trabalho – CAPACIT

In Brazil, employment eligibility of disabled people is guaranteed by law; nevertheless, the majority of business is not prepared to accommodate their needs. As a result, the practice is neither uniform nor adequate, and the benefits are reduced for both market and individuals. CAPACIT is an initiative of APAE, which works on behalf of special needs individuals in the Itajaí / Santa Catarina region.

With BrazilFoundation’s support, this project will provide professional training to 50 people with special needs and help them gain employment. In parallel to this project, CAPACIT will train partnering businesses in how to work with special needs of employees.
