The Associação Casa da Família Rural encourages young farmers to remain in their communities by improving their living conditions and offering a comprehensive professional and educational training program. The lack of good-paying job opportunities, especially among young people, has caused an increasing exodus to the cities, which has spurred the expansion of shanty towns in urban areas. With the support of BrazilFoundation, the project trained farmers in crop production techniques and cooperative models, contributing to increased productivity and income, and a reduction in the region’s rural exodus.
