The Pro-Morato Center was formed by the residents of Francisco Morato, São Paulo, in a movement to improve their quality of life, and increase opportunities for employment, education, leisure, and culture within their community. The organization trains youth between the ages of 16 and 21 to enter the labor market.
The activities place value on creativity, ethics, and social participation. The project supported by BrazilFoundation aimed to improve local opportunities, and to strengthen local commerce. By training the children of micro-businessmen in business plan development the project aimed to promote the sustainability of their family businesses.
