Atendimento à crianças e adolescentes em situação de risco
The Quixote Project began in 1996 in the Department of Psychiatry of the Federal University of São Paulo (UNIFESP) to create a different approach to the issue of drug use among children and youth at risk. The institution believes in art and education as alternative ways to help these children overcome problems such as violence, abandonment, and drug abuse.
The project support by BrazilFoundation offered graffiti workshops to these children and helped disseminate the culture of graffiti within the community. Nowadays the Institution offers weekly workshops and professional training in graffiti. In 2006 the organization received another grant to the project “Moinhos de Luz” and they produced two documentaries.
