Located in a rural community in Bahia, the Association is an example of how a very small organization with few resources but good monitoring and support can achieve solid results.

First supported by BrazilFoundation with an Incentive Award in 2007 and 2008, the organization has been recognized by the Municipality’s Department of Education, has partnered with the HSBC Bank, and has gained respect throughout the Municipality for being the only organization working with children’s education in the area. The Association has also developed theater groups, dance, capoeira and soccer for children and young people from the local community.
