The association promotes socioeconomic development in communities by working with families with small farms in Cansação, a city where there is no industry or shopping centers and employment opportunities are scarce.
IMPACT
With support from BrazilFoundation, the organization created four gardens with capacity to raise chickens, goats and pigs. The organization also offered workshops and conducted technical visits to families, benefiting 60 people. The association also formalized partnerships with local and federal government to be included in the food program and to generate fixed sources of income for local families.
