Around 5,000 people live in the Viradouro community of Niterói. Two-thirds of the population is under 30, and 37% of young people are neither working nor in school. This project looks to provide greater career opportunities to 60 adolescents in the community through training in video production, digital photography and communications.
Bem-TV arose from the desire of two university students interested in bringing together communications and social development. They use communications as a tool to stimulate adolescents and young adults to become agents of change and community development.
