Movimento Chega de Descaso

Providing legal assistance, information and an online platform to facilitate the reporting of health system violations

A structural crisis within the health care sector presents demonstrative weaknesses, both in the public and private systems, causing many to suffer serious consequences as a result of coverage refusal and noncompliance with terms of service, among other issues. According to research, fewer than 10% of those affected seek justice.
Movimento Chega de Descaso emerges from this lack of support and crisis scenario, aiming to provide assistance, both directly and indirectly, guiding this neglected population as it seeks either public or private health care.

Through a network of volunteers, the organization provides legal, psychological, and social support, as well as influencing those directly responsible and lobbying public policy makers for improvements to the health care service provided to this population.

BrazilFoundation’s resources will facilitate:

• Roaming presence of mobile health units, providing support to the residents in places where complaints originate;
• Continuous online service and follow-up;
• Construction of an online platform to record complaints and construct a database of claims.
