AVIDA works to inform, train, and develop the skills of people with disabilities, to guarantee their social inclusion and the protection of their civic rights. The project “Teoria Musical,” supported by BrazilFoundation, offered music classes following the Braille method to 30 people who were visually impaired. In 2007, the organization received the complementary grant and expanded its program to reach a larger audience. The Association has since expanded its Braille courses to reach an even greater number of people, and the Coral, a fruit of this work, gave the organization greater visibility.
