Canoagem Ambiental e Cidadã
The Associação Santo Dias is based in Fortaleza and seeks to guarantee decent working conditions and basic citizens rights. BrazilFoundation supported an environmental education project for poor adolescents living in Fortaleza. The project took advantage of the growing interest in ecological tourism to increase awareness of environmental preservation and concepts of sustainability. With BrazilFoundation´s support, the project trained youth in canoeing and environmental preservation.
