Cafeicultura de Produção Familiar
The Center was founded in 1993 with the objective of promoting the development of technologies for coffee production in the Espírito Santo State. With the support of BrazilFoundation the Cafeicultura de Produção Familiar project offered advice to small farmers, who were trained in advanced techniques in soil fertilization without pesticides for the growth, storage and marketing of coffee. It also incentivized the use of grain in the manufacturing of other local food such as cakes, liqueurs, biscuits and sweets, which are produced by women farmers to supplement the family income.
