Crescer sem Violência

The center Crescer sem Violência, in partnership with the Federal University of Santa Catarina, works to increase awareness about violence against children and adolescents. With the support of BrazilFoundation, the project Crescer sem Violência held clothing “customization” (artisan technique that transforms clothes with unfashionable designs) workshops for young girls and women who live in a shelter and have been victims of domestic violence. It helped to develop creativity, to increase the women’s self-esteem, and to generate income.
