Fundação Alavanca provides cultural, social and educational programs to improve social problems faced by the population of Ubatuba, on the coast of São Paulo. The “Good at School, Good at Sailing” project offers free nautical sailing classes to children and adolescents in order to improve academic performance, reduce the dropout rate, and improve physical health.
BrazilFoundation’s support also enabled teachers to improve the quality of sailing lessons offered to young students who could participate in championships and races. In Addition, the support of BrazilFoundation provided training for instructors to improve the quality of the sailing lessons offered to young students, enabling them to participate in championships and regattas.
