Educação e Cidadania na Geração de Renda

The association conducts environmental research and provides advice to small associations with a focus on ecologically sustainable production of honey and derivatives in extractive communities in semi-arid Northeast. The institution provides technical assistance to encourage local initiatives to develop autonomy and generate income.

The project supported by BrazilFoundation trained members of agricultural associations in the semi-arid Northeast to use alternative methods of extracting, warehousing and commercializing products such as honey, beeswax and pollen. BrazilFoundation ‘s support enabled training and technical support in bee-keeping techniques that seek to transform predatory methods of extracting products from bees, to promote environmental awareness, to increase the quantity and raise the quality of production, thus contributing to local development.
