Ibens, the Brazilian Institute for Education and Sustainable Business, implements sustainable local development projects in small rural communities across the country, promoting entrepreneurial initiatives and activities for the management of forest resources – timber, fisheries, organic agriculture, among others.
With BrazilFoundation’s support, the “Oysters” project was implemented to promote the production of oysters in ponds, using environmental preservation techniques and optimization of sales. Many activities were carried out in order to consolidate the production of oysters and increase income community, while taking advantage of the natural potential of the Parati region.
