Formação Continuada de Professores para o Trabalho com a Língua, Arte e Cultura Terena

This project proposes to train teachers of the Terena ethnicity in the latest pedagogical theories and practices, so that they may teach Terena art, language and culture to their indigenous community. Teachers will also receive supporting didactic materials for their teaching.

IMPACT

With support from BrazilFoundation, IPED trained 35 teachers in teaching the Terena culture, language, and art throughout 19 workshops, totaling 136 hours, ultimately benefiting nearly 800 children and adolescents. IPEDI also launched the bilingual textbook Kalivono, which is now used in local schools.
