Projeto Sonhar Famílias
Guidance, healthcare and income generation for families in Capão Redondo
Instituto Projeto Sonhar provides social, spiritual and health services for people in accordance with the circumstances in which they live. They work on an integrated level to help families from the Capão Redondo region of São Paulo lift themselves out of extreme poverty.
The project will offer care and social support to families with children up to 14 years of age whose social bonds are extremely fragile. The services will focus on emotional care to help promote physical, social and emotional health and contribute to income generation opportunities.
With support from BrazilFoundation, Projeto Sonhar proposes to:
• Mitigate the harmful effects of neglect and vulnerability;
• Provide guidance to families through weekly home visits;
• Help break the cycle of family violence and conflict;
