Direitos para Todos
The NEB was established in 1997 and aims to be an incubator for projects that promote sustainable development among minorities. The “Direitos para Todos” project offered legal advice to residents of the community of Vila Ponta Negra in Natal, the capital of Rio Grande do Norte. This project helped to legalize the lands of the Quilombo Acauã (a maroon settlement) for collective use. It also mobilized 290 maroons to form an association and strengthen community bonds.
