Fortalecimento da Banda Revoltosa
Formed by farm workers and sugar cane cutters, the Band has been active for almost a hundred years and it is today an entity of cultural relevance in Nazaré da Mata. With the Incentive Award from BrazilFoundation in 2008, the group reorganized the institution and its management, purchased new instruments and expanded their performances to other areas of the city.
In 2009, the project continued, and the organization delivered on the new challenges of the expansion of its headquarters and enabled for an increase in their activities. As a result of this success,the Band was named a Point of Culture by the Brazilian Ministry of Culture.
