The BrazilFoundation 2011 Annual Project Selection: Open Call for Proposals from October 5th to November 10th, 2011

BrazilFoundation invites Brazilian non-profit organizations to submit project proposals in accordance with standards set in the Open Call for Proposals, from October 5th to November 10th, 2011.

The 2011 Open Call for Proposals offers two types of support:

Up to R$ 40,000 Reais for a period of one year for projects in the areas of education (Vocational Training, Promotion of Access to Higher Education, Environmental Education); Culture; Health (Prevention); Participatory Development (Work and Income Generation, Community Empowerment); and Human Rights (Promotion of Human Rights, assistance to victims of Human Rights violations, Access to Justice).

Up to R$80,000 Reais for the period of two years for projects focused on strategies for the use of local community development resources.

Projects will be funded with resources raised during the BrazilFoundation IX Annual Gala, and in acknowledgment of the event’s theme, “The International Year of Forests,” two projects located in Brazilian Forest areas aligned with the Call for Proposal guidelines, will be selected for support.
