For years BrazilFoundation has been doing small activities in Florida and has always dreamed of expanding its presence in the region. In 2012, thanks to the support of an engaged committee of volunteers willing to help, BrazilFoundation decided to hold its first Gala in Miami.
The I BrazilFoundation Gala MIAMI will take place on March 27th, 2012, during the Miami Open Tennis week.
The event will honor Norberto Odebrecht, for his work ahead of the Odebrecht Foundation. During the past 50 years, the Foundation has contributed to generating opportunities in education and strengthening youth participation towards a sustainable future for Brazil. Romero Britto will receive the Brazilian Community Award.
Helio Castroneves is heading up preparations for the event as Chair of the event alongside with Honorary Chair Ambassador Hélio Vitor Ramos Filho, and Co‐Chairs Daniela Fonseca and Maria Carolina Tavares de Melo.
