BrazilFoundation Attains Highest Transparency Level with GlassPockets

We are thrilled to share that BrazilFoundation has attained the highest level of transparency (Champion) from GlassPockets, and now ranks 4th in transparency out of more than 100 foundations on the Glasspockets platform. GlassPockets is a Foundation Center initiative that rates, analyzes and promotes digital transparency and accountability practices in philanthropy.

The Champion level is given to foundations that satisfy at least 19 of the 27 website transparency indicators, of which BrazilFoundation satisfies 23. The indicators measure the depth of online transparency that a foundation can demonstrate, such as the availability of 990 forms, grantee surveys, diversity data, and more.

BrazilFoundation takes its transparency very seriously, and has achieved high marks from other institutions including: Charity Navigator, from which it has a 94% and 4-star rating; Guidestar, from which it has the highest, Platinum rating; as well as being recognized by Instituto Doar as one of Brazil’s top 100 NGOs for three consecutive years. As the demands for transparency change in the future, BrazilFoundation will strive to meet any additional indicators that may be suggested by these platforms.
