BrazilFoundation and HSBC Solidariedade Institute foster an innovative partnership to put capacity building workshops for HSBC bank managers, in the city of Curitiba on March 29th. For the first time ever, 46 managers from various HSBC bank offices from all regions of Brazil will participate in a program called Programa de Capacitação de Padrinhos e Madrinhas. Tailored by BrazilFoundation, the program will train managers in selecting, monitoring and evaluating the social projects funded by the bank. The main goal of this program is to encourage and educate HSBC bank employees so they can contribute to the development and sustainability of the funded institutions.

BrazilFoundation Vice-president, Susane Worcman, says that “HSBC sees the importance of building a strong relationship between their employees and the social projects they fund. The partnership, based on BrazilFoundation´s expertise in the area of social investment in Brazil, will help to create a pilot program that will meet businesses´ social accountability demands”.
