Chef Luiza Zaidan Holds Cooking Class in New York to Benefit BrazilFoundation

Chef Luiza Zaidan knew she wanted to use her passion for cooking somehow for philanthropic cause. So, she decided to give a cooking class to the BrazilFoundation New York community while visiting the city. Fifteen guests attended the class where they learned recipes from the chef for caprese salad, pistachio-breaded fish, risotto, and chocolate cake. The event raised a total of US$1,500 for BrazilFoundation grantee Associação Vida em Ação’s project “Bar Bibitantã”. The project is a social enterprise that trains people afflicted by mental illness to make and sell organic meals.

“It’s incredible knowing that we will help such a cool project involving food. Doing something good makes me feel good. I will always be here to help.” – said Luiza.
