Instituto Feira Preta

The project “Afrolab: Acceleration of Black Businesses in the Creative Economy,” led by the Feira Preta Institute, is one of the initiatives supported by the Black Entrepreneurship Fund of BrazilFoundation. It will collaborate with 50 Black-owned businesses in the creative economy sector, operating in different locations across the country. Based on the Afrolab incubation methodologies, Afrolab mentorship, personalized guidance from Afrolab Tutors, and value chain in the Value Connection, the technical support includes product and service development, financial sustainability, leveraging technology and automation, and establishing a mentorship and clientele network. Financial investment is planned for the top five participating businesses. Afrolab is integrated into the PretaHub platform and is the result of 20 years of activities conducted by the Feira Preta Institute to map, build technical capabilities, promote creativity, incubate, and accelerate entrepreneurs from underprivileged communities in Brazil.
