Women for Women in Miami Supports Community Innovation Award

 
Joana Saad Ribeiro and BrazilFoundation hosted a Women for Women’s event in Miami on Friday, March 24th. The event brought together more than 20 past and new Women for Women supporters, this time to raise resources for women-based community initiatives through the Community Innovation Award. The breakfast featured a video-conference talk from Brigitte Louchez, Coordinator at Barraca da Amizade, one of the mentor organizations for this year’s Community Innovation Award, and an initiative that utilizes social enterprise as a strategy to prevent the sexual exploitation of children in vulnerable situations in Fortaleza, CE. 

The event successfully raised enough resources to fund three initiatives. A special thanks to host Joana Saad Ribeiro for hosting the event, and for the supporters who attended!
