XVII BrazilFoundation Gala New York Raises US$450,000
On Thursday, September 12th we held our XVII Gala New York once again at the Plaza Hotel, raising US$450,000 which will be invested in social projects next year through a call for proposals. The event celebrated Ballet Paraisópolis and featured a special performance by 11 of the dancers, showing the magic of dance and the potential social impact that it can promote. Juliana and Roberto Sallouti were honored for their philanthropic efforts in education in Brazil. The gala gathered nearly 400 guests from the business, diplomatic and artistic spheres, and closed with a “Roda de Samba” by Jair Oliveira, followed by an after party by DJ Marina Diniz.
