XXI BrazilFoundation Gala New York

25/09/2024 • Published in Events

Last Thursday (09/19), we gathered at BrazilFoundation’s XXI New York Gala at The Plaza to celebrate the commitment and collective strength driving social transformation in Brazil through philanthropy.

This was especially evident in the response to our Rio Grande do Sul relief efforts, which faced its worst climate disaster this year. In partnership with the Luz Alliance Fund, our campaign raised nearly US$3 million from over 18,000 donations – a BrazilFoundation record.

We honored individuals and organizations making a lasting impact: the Bündchen Family for their dedication to sustainable development and support of Rio Grande do Sul; Safra National Bank of New York, led by Simoni Morato, for its philanthropic investments; Instituto Mulher em Construção for promoting gender equity; Instituto Caldeira for fostering Brazil’s tech and startup ecosystem; and Selena Gomez for her leadership in the global mental health crisis.

A special thank you to Banco Master, our Presenting Sponsor and long-time partner. Thank you to Ludmilla for her amazing performance, and to Ingrid Silva and Flávia Alessandra for being our wonderful hosts. We also extend our gratitude to all our sponsors and supporters, whose dedication makes our work possible. We deeply appreciate everyone working with us to create a better Brazil.

The Gala wasn’t just a celebration – it was a chance to raise critical funds that support Brazil’s transformation, promoting economic opportunities, quality education, and socio-environmental justice for thousands across the country.

Thank you for being part of this journey. Together, we’re building a more just and prosperous Brazil.
